Nardo Munoz brings over 12 years of dedicated experience in the Public Health sector to the Board of Directors at the Lambda Theta Phi Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Master of Public Health in Occupational Safety from the University of South Florida. Nardo currently works as the Environmental, Health & Safety Leader – East North America at Veolia. Nardo’s professional journey has seen him excel in senior leadership roles at renowned Fortune 500 companies, including Amazon, AECOM, Chewy, and most recently, Veolia, where he is developing the entire EHS compliance enterprise for all of their Service Facilities, Manufacturing, and Corporate locations in East North America. Nardo also holds an active Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification, complementing his EHS experience and educational background. His expertise in creating and implementing safety and health protocols has consistently contributed to the well-being and operational success of these organizations.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Nardo has been actively involved in leadership and mentorship within the community. He joined Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc. at the University of South Florida during the Fall 2010 semester, where he quickly embraced the fraternity’s values of scholarship, leadership, and community service. His time with Lambda Theta Phi helped shape his leadership approach and fostered his lifelong commitment to mentorship and cultural advocacy. Nardo later served as the Director of Expansion for the National Executive Board of Lambda Theta Phi, where he played a key role in fostering growth and development within the organization across the United States, expanding to an additional 14 chapters during his tenure. Furthermore, Nardo serves as a West Florida Chapter Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). Additionally, Nardo is a professional development leadership mentor for Project Learning Tree – Canada, an initiative of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), where he supports the advancement of environmental education and sustainability practices. He also serves as a Board of Directors for Girls Inc. of Pinellas; Nardo leverages his leadership expertise to help guide the organization’s mission of empowering young girls and supporting their development through educational and community programs. He collaborates with fellow board members to shape strategic initiatives, ensuring that Girls Inc. continues to provide valuable resources and opportunities for growth to young girls in the Tampa Bay community.
